VII BRICS Summit & Cyber Security

The leaders of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Russian Federation, the Republic of India, the People´s Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa (BRICS), met on 9 July 2015, in Ufa, Russia, at the Seventh BRICS Summit have issued a lengthy communiqué.
 
About Internet and cyber-security issues, they have decided to strike a working group to cooperate on the development of cyber-norms, exchanging cyber-security best practices, and cooperate in combatting cyber-crime. 
They also reiterated their call for a global cyber-crime treaty under the auspices of the United Nations, and called for the "evolution of the Internet governance ecosystem, which should be based on an open and democratic process, free from the influence of any unilateral considerations."
