Federal Government Cybersecurity Progress

With the Obama administration approaching its two-year anniversary, we thought it might be helpful to examine its record of accomplishments in cybersecurity.
What follows is an "Obama Administration Report Card," whereby we have awarded grades for progress against a number of the recommendations contained in the 60-Day Review, or "Hathaway Report" as it is commonly called.
The "Hathaway Report" contained recommendations broken down into two categories of action plans, designated as Near-Term and Mid-Term, with neither plan being defined in terms of timing or projected dates of completion – perhaps its most glaring shortfall. Now that the administration is over halfway through their elected term, we believe enough time has passed to make it entirely reasonable to expect complete or near-complete implementation of action items described as "near-term".
