UK Gov Technical Cyber Security Controls for Organisations

Following a call for evidence on organisational standards in cyber security which concluded in October 2013, UK government has worked with the Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises(IASME) consortium, the Information Security Forum (ISF) and the British Standards Institution (BSI) to develop a scheme that provides clarity on good cyber security practice.

Iran’s progress can be attributed to a combination of two elements: a certain easing of the restraints on offensive activity in cyberspace by Iranian decision makers, and a qualitative leap by the Iranian cyber warfare system.

Legality in Cyberspace: An Adversary View

While conflict in cyberspace is not new, the legality of hostile cyber activity at a state level remains imperfectly defined. While there is broad agreement among the United States and its allies that cyber warfare would be governed by existing laws of armed conflict, with no need for additional treaties or conventions to regulate hostilities online, this view is not shared by many nations that the United States could potentially face as adversaries.
